Embellishment. Remember that word as autumn creeps towards us. I know, I know. We haven’t so much as sneaked a foot into a flip flop yet and Im already talking about Autumn Winter 2016 but such is the fashion calendar darlings!
The McQueen collection is worth braving the thought of more dark nights and cold days as it is just beautiful and really speaks to the bohemian/gothic/nature loving side of me as the garments, shoes and accessories appeal to all three. I can see these looks translating well to the high street, I know come September we will start seeing embroidery, insect related jewellery and hair accessories and splashes of red and blue amongst black leather and nude lace. A little like an entomologist with a fetish for bondage, and UNICORNS people!
I don’t think we have to wait to apply these ideas to current trends however, especially in the bridal world. If you are a little bit boho or an off beat bride then why not add a little insect related sparkle to your wedding hair? Apply the idea to your table decor if you’re going for a country/floral theme. You can summer these ideas up quite easily by matching with spring/summer wild blooms and lighter, almost ethereal fabrics and colours.
